Yeah, that's me, doing CEO-like stuff back in early 2000s
Way back in 1995, I was a writer. Then some devs at Microsoft ignored me when I discovered a serious flaw in a production app (I had discovered SQL injection.)
I went on to found one of the first information security companies. I ran the company for 25 years. Eventually, I invented a cool cloud security automation thing, got a bunch of investor money, and exited the company.
Running a startup is exhilarating, exhausting, and excruciating. I loved the building and creating, I hated the egos and bullies.
I write about leadership, running a startup, cybersecurity, industry analysis, market trends, cars, cloud computing, cats, Star Trek, the Metaverse, and whatever shiny object is in front of me now.
I am currently CEO of Zenaciti (zenaciti.com). I do technical due diligence consulting for investors, which means I determine how awesome (or awful) an startup is or could be. I also help out startups with pithy advice.
I also run a startup about movies and TV shows, Screenopolis (screenopolis.com). Still building that company at this time.
Thanks for reading my work. I hope it makes an impact.
